“Paddle Round the Pier is a registered charity promoting the healthy and safe use of the coastline. Our major event each year is the Paddle Round the Pier Beach Festival, a two day event held on Hove Lawns with approaching 50,000 attendees, over 1,000 competitors, 250+ exhibitors and a host of different entertainment and learning venues from a Demonstration Pool to a Ukulele Marquee. Engaging Jo as our Events Manager for the event was the best decision we have made as a Board. Her planning was meticulous, administration faultless; her management delivery comprehensive, friendly and authoritative. All based on sound knowledge, in depth experience and a great approach.

Jo Event Solutions was awarded the contract to event manage the UK’s largest seafront festival, that has taken place on Brighton seafront for 22 years. Jo Osborne worked with the Board of Trustees on the 2018/2019 Paddle Round The Pier Festivals, covering all aspects of Event Management. The Seafront Festival attracts thousands of people each year, and involves both land and sea based activities as well as having a music stage, food outlets and bars, exhibitors, children’s entertainment and several other areas of amusement
for visitors. The main events over the two day festival are the Paddle Round The Pier, and Paddle Something Unusual. Jo covered aspects from health and safety management, to compiling the event management plans, ensuring all logistics were in place, to booking all infrastructure. Jo acted as Site Manager for build, event weekend and derig of the site.
