Brighton Marathon Weekend

Event Information

“Grounded Events worked with Jo Osborne from the inaugural Brighton Marathon in 2010 through to 2014 when she left Brighton & Hove City Council. Jo’s open mindedness and organised approach to the new major event in the city in 2010 allowed it to be a huge success without any major obstacles from a local government point of view, and her attitude and passion for outdoor events meant growing the marathon, tweaking the route and adding a 10k event to the day was made as easy as possible, with Jo supporting us through negotiations with other local authority departments in the city. We would highly recommend Jo as a person to approach for advice and assistance in turning an event idea into something real and successful.”

The Brighton Marathon Weekend is an exciting three-day event that takes place each April in buzzing Brighton. Events include the UK’s second largest marathon, Brighton Marathon, the BM10k race, and the youth event, The Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens Mini Mile Races. Also open throughout the weekend, is the huge Event Village, which is installed on Brighton beach for supporters, runners and the local community to enjoy. Jo Event Solutions joined the Grounded Events Team in January each year 2016-2019 as part of the Production Team, assisting with accommodation, transport, screen content, communications, as well as forming part of the Event Team on Race Day.
