Brighton Festival’s Children’s Parade

Event Information

“The importance of having a good Health & Safety Officer on site – Prepare and prevent, don’t repair and repent”
Brighton Festival has opened its programme of events with the annual Children’s Parade for over 30 years, being organised by local Arts Charity Same Sky. 2022 saw Jo join the event as Health & Safety Officer, offering advice and comment to the event plans, whilst being present at the event. The event sees over 5000 children take part in a parade through the streets of Brighton, showing off dozens of huge pieces of art and hand made costumes. The event features a different theme each year. Jo is also working with Same Sky as Health & Safety Officer on their annual Winter Solstice Parade and Fireworks Display in Brighton ‘Burning The Clocks’ which takes place on 21st December each year.
